These girls fall under the stratum of highly affected by the pandemic. The girls had been accommodating themselves in the expensive city of Kathmandu to prepare for many trail races that they were planning for in 2020. With the lockdown, they were forced to stay here in Kathmandu, paying rent higher than their income. It was difficult for them to manage food and other necessities during the lockdown.

 

Sue Ding has known Mira for more than two years now. Sue was the one who made Mira’s stay in the UK possible in 2018. Sue and Mira bonded so quickly that they now have a relationship of two close sisters. With regard to Mira’s love and request, Sue helped Mira with COVID relief funds for the girls of the Initiative. Mira wanted to help the ten girls that she took under her wing through the Mira Rai Initiative by providing them the necessary relief in terms of diet and food, and other necessities.
